Windows 8 has been reimagined to introduced the new fast, intuitive, and fluid Start Screen. When you sign in to Windows 8, the first thing you will notice are tiles of applications. The traditional Start menu has been replaced with this large dashboard of apps.
Apps is the heart of Windows 8 and with the new Start screen, your favorite apps are front and centered. I can customize my start screen the way I want. I can create a group of my favorite and most use apps and place them at the left most area of my start screen for easy access. I can also change my Start screen background by going to the PC settings. In Windows 8.1 I can even use my desktop wallpaper to be by Start screen background so it will appear like my tiles are floating in my desktop.
Ohh and before I forgot, what I love about the apps is that they are dynamic and live. This live tiles keeps me updated from the things I care about, example my Mail app will give me a preview of my incoming mails, also my People app keeps me updated on anything that happens on my Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Windows 8.1 is here!
