The file explorer has also been improved to give you ease of access to the most common tools and commands in file management. It has been modified to include the Fluent user interface or commonly known as the “Ribbon” which was first seen in Microsoft Office 2007.
Check out the 5 tabs (File, Home, Share, View, Manage) of your file explorer to help you manage your files easily. A good example is that I can easily see hidden items/ files in just few clicks. Just click on the View tab and tick the hidden items checkbox in the show/hide group in the ribbon. That’s productivity! In previous Windows versions it will take you at least four clicks to show your hidden items.
One more thing, I usually use Power ISO or Daemon tools to mount my ISO images when playing my favorite games. Well, good news my fellow gamers! No need to get those third party apps to mount your images. Just double click those ISO images and it will automatically be mounted in your virtual drive!
Windows 8.1 is here!
