A number of Microsoft MVPs and MSPs was invited to talk about Microsoft technologies at the STI College-Global City ICT Roadshow 2011 on March 11, 2011. I was lucky to be invited to tackle about Windows 7. The ICT Roadshow was a weeklong celebration and a one whole day was dedicated just for Microsoft technologies, hence they called it the “Microsoft Day.”
I arrived at the venue at exactly 9:00AM as the email from Miss Mellie Valimento says that I will be starting my lecture on that time. Due to a scheduled fire drill as part of the school’s disaster preparedness program, my lecture was moved to 11:00AM. Good thing there’s a near coffee shop where I had my breakfast and waited there until I can start my lecture.
I started my lecture at around 11:15AM after the formal opening of the weeklong ICT Roadshow. My audience are mainly freshmen and sophomore IT and CS students with approximately 200 attendees. Speakers in the morning sessions are mainly MSPs who talked about, Windows Phone, Windows Live, Microsoft Office 2010, with me as an exception discussing Windows 7. The afternoon sessions was dominated by MVPs with more serious lectures on ASP.net, Visual Studio, and SQL Server. Speakers on the event are:
