By default the jumplist in Windows 7 will show you 10 recently opened files / items. Extending it might be useful .
Here’s how to extend your jumplist:
•Right Click Start button
•Click on Properties
•In the Start Menu tab click Customize
•Then change the value of the Number of recent items to display in the Jumplist
•Then Click OK
