Always Run your Applications as an Administrator

If you’re always right-clicking your applications icon then selecting “Run as administrator.” There are some applications that are written in older version of operating systems which needs administrator privileges.  Games for example that are written for Windows XP will not function and will generate errors if not opened with an Administrator privileges. This tip will be very much useful when running legacy applications that has compatibility issues with Windows 7.  Well here’s a solution for you.

To configure your application to always run as an administrator, follow the steps below.

1.  Pinpoint the application shortcut that you want to always run as an Administrator

2.  Right click the shortcut then click Properties.  The properties dialogue box will appear.

3.  Click the compatibility tab on the Properties dialogue box.

4.  Click the checkbox before the “Run This Program As An Administrator”, this is to apply the setting for the current logged-on user.  If you want to apply the setting to all the users of the PC regardless of which shortcut is used to open that application, click on the “Change settings for all users.”  It will display the Properties dialogue box for the .exe file of that application, click the checkbox before the “Run This Program As An Administrator”, then click OK.

That’s it the you already configured your application to always run in an administrator privileges.
